KARACHI, May 30: Two-day Karachi Region Boxing Championship will be held at Ustad Abdullah Boxing Stadium Peoples Sports Complex on June 6-7, Karachi South Boxing Association announced on Tuesday.

The event will also serve as the selection trials to pick Karachi boxing squad for Sindh Games scheduled to be held at Hyderabad from June 12 to 16.

The event will be contested in 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44 kilogram boys category and senior class in 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 64, 69, 75, 81, 91 and plus 91 kilogram weight division.

Fighters from all five districts are eligible to take part in the event.

The weighing and medical of the pugilists will be held at Lyari Labour Welfare Centre Boxing Club, Baloch Chowk Chakiwara on June 5 between 4.00pm to 6.00pm.—APP
