KARACHI, May 30: Fine batting by Yaqoob Khan and Babar Saeed inspires School of Britannica to a convincing 126-run victory over The Educator School in the PCB National Inter-school (Karachi region) cricket tournament on Monday.

Yaqoob (63, 10 fours) and Babar (61, five fours) propelled School of Britannica to a healthy score of 266 for eight in 45.4 overs.

The Educator mustered 140 in 34.5 overs with off-spinner Talha Shafi claiming four for 39. Babar also excelled with the ball by taking three for 27 with his leg-spinners.

Abdullah Asad (86, seven fours) led F.F. Public School to an easy 80-run win against Kamran Public School.

New Oxford School were too good for Aziz-e-Millat School in a resounding 10-wicket victory.

In contrast, Niazi Star Grammar School survived some anxious moments before scampering home by the narrow margin of two wickets.

In the day’s other fixture, S.B. School outplayed GBSS Hasrat Mohani by 75 runs.
