11 farmers booked for water theft

KHAIRPUR, May 30: The Thari Mir Wah police have registered cases against 11 farmers for water theft. Irrigation sub-engineer Ahmed Ali on Monday night lodged an FIR that Bahadur, Ihsan, Akram, Saleem, Akbar Ali, Azam, Motan and Mahar Ali were stealing water by breaking watercourses of Son Wah and Bilawal Wah.

BODY FOUND: Body of a boy was found near Khaki Shah Pul Mir Wah canal here on Monday evening. The boy was identified as Zubair, son of Abdul Fatah Shaikh, resident of Osta Mohammad, Balochistan.

However, the motive of his death remained unknown.

DROWNED: A boy, Fahad, 10, son of Abdul Haq Shaikh, resident of Mill Colony drowned on Monday evening in Sanihro Wah near Khairpur. He was picnicking with his friends. His body could not be found till the filing of this report.
