KARACHI: AKU’s report today

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 30: The woman claming the kidnapping of her child from the NICH last week was medically examined for the third time at the Liaquat National Hospital on Tuesday where doctors endorsed the medical report issued by the Civil Hospital, a day earlier, saying there were no signs of a recent delivery by the woman.

Police investigators said that Shazia was taken to the Aga Khan Hospital on Monday night where she was given an appointment for Tuesday morning. However, the appointment adjusted for 2:30pm on Tuesday morning.

Instead of returning, the police investigators took Shazia to Liaquat National Hospital for a second opinion.

Dr Zohra Naqvi, senior gynaecologist of the LNH after examination gave a written report to the police stating that “there is no evidence of recent delivery,” investigators said.

After getting through, Shazia was taken again to the Aga Khan Hospital in the afternoon where after carrying out detailed tests, police were told to collect a written report on Wednesday afternoon, an investigator said.
