Teachers put off hunger strike

ISLAMABAD, May 29: The Pakistan Teachers United Front (PTUF) has put off the May 30 hunger strike after getting assurances from Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.

According to a press release, a nine-member PTUF delegation led by its chairman Raja Safeer Ahmed Satti called on the federal minister and discussed the teachers’ demands.
