KOHAT, May 29: Three people, including an official of the Fata irrigation department, were kidnapped on the border between Kohat district and the Frontier Region, a police official said on Monday.

A case was registered at the assistant political agent’s office of the Kohat Frontier Region 24 hours after police and political authorities resolved the issue of jurisdiction.

An overseer of the Fata irrigation department Wahab Ali, a government contractor Ibrar, and driver Najat Ali, had gone in a private vehicle to the Ublan Afghan Refugee Camp to inspect a site.

The overseer is a resident of Parachinar, the government contractor belongs to the Orakzai Agency while the driver is from the Chakarkot area of Kohat city.

The pick up was found abandoned in the Frontier Region.
