KARACHI, May 29: Seven ships carrying palm oil and fertiliser are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a dozen ships were berthed. They are: Iron Butterfly, to unload and load general cargo, Hanjin Busan Kota Tampan, Dong He and Mearsk Alabama, to unload and load containers, Iran Soken, to load rice, Golden Express, Swat, oil tankers, Princess Highway, to offload cars and Anthinoula, to unload fertiliser.

Sailing was also active as a dozen ships including Sinar Bontang, Corin Thaikos, Hajin Busan, Sever Star, Cosmic Challenger, Lalazar, Rickmers Chennal, Al-Maqwa, Iron Butterfly, Golden Express, WordlGlory and Princess Highway were departed, while Al-Marwah, Dong He, Al-Fatah, Maersk Alabama, Swat, Kota Tampan, and Vanccouver Victory are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.171m tons comprising 18,272 tons of export cargo including 8,120 tons of rice and 0.152m tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Stolt Tenacity, with 12,000 tons of RBD palm olein, Thor Captain, Seleon and Iran Kodestan, with containers, Lemertine and Clementine, with 41,500 tons of urea each, and Gusto, with general cargo.
