ISLAMABAD, May 27: A team of senators on Saturday visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) and asked the doctors and paramedical staff to treat the patients devotedly.

The team comprising senators Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Wasim Sajjad and Tahira Latif asked the government to provide maximum medical facilities to the people, especially to deserving and poor patients in government hospitals.

They also called for allocation of necessary funds and latest medical equipment for improving the standard of treatment.

On the occasion, the team led by Mushahid Hussain was briefed about the performance and requirements of Pims. The team was informed that some new medical projects and facilities were being introduced in the hospital.—Our Reporter
