Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, May 27: The Sindh Qaumi Ittehad has announced that a protest day will be observed in Sindh on June 1 against detention and disappearance of Ittehad activists.

Speaking at a press conference at the press club on Saturday, Ittehad’s acting chairman, Gul Mohammad Jakhrani, alleged that an unannounced operation had been launched against activists of the alliance and they were being dubbed as traitors.

Mr Jakhrani said that Ittehad leaders Dr Safdar Sarki, Nawaz Khan Zour, Muzaffar Bhutto, Sattar Hakro, Akash Mallah, Manjhi Chandio and Sikandar Soomro were detained by agencies months back and their whereabouts had not been made public.
