KARACHI: Two Indian children leave for home

KARACHI, May 27: Two Indian children who remained in custody for few months in Karachi left for Mumbai on Saturday. Pavish, 7, and Bharat, 9, were taken into custody after their fishing boat entered Pakistani waters. They were seen off at the Quaid-i-Azam International Airport by Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqi.

Their return to home became possible with the efforts of Mr Rauf Siddiqi.

They left for Bombay on PIA flight (PK-274) in the accompaniment of Suresh Mehta, a representative officer of Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

The home minister said safe return of these Indian children is a practical demonstration of Pakistan’s support to human rights and this gesture of our government will strengthen goodwill and affiliations between the two nations.

The home minister presented bouquets and sweets to the children and the High Commission official.—APP
