Saeed and Amir help BPS win Pindi region championship

ISLAMABAD, May 26: Bajwa Public School (BPS) on Friday claimed the Rawalpindi District PCB National Schools Championship with a thumping 107-run win over Ghauri Public School.
Paceman Mohammad Saeed who captured four for 38 was the destroyer as Ghauri, chasing 252 for victory, were dismissed for only 144 in 40 overs at the Rawalpindi Stadium.
Bajwa School's healthy total was made possible largely by a fine innings from Mohammad Amir who scored 76. Shakeel Nasir (39) and Hasan Mujtaba (37 not out) also made useful contributions.
For Ghauri School, Mohammad Shahbaz and Osama Rahman shared four wickets.

Off-spinner Mohammad Wasim captured five for 33 as Danish Ali School defeated Khan Primary School by 26 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground.
Arsalan Hussain, who also bowls off-spin, and slow left-armer Ameer Khan shared seven wickets between them to help Dhaka Secondary School thrashed St Gregory’s School by eight wickets at the Students Sports Ground.
In other matches, Kamran Public School, Bagh-i-Hilal School and Shaheen Cambridge emerged victorious.
