KARACHI, May 26: Three ships carrying containers and to load rice and molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where seven ships, Lalazar, and Team Kaniara, oil tankers, Cosmic Challenger, to unload general cargo, Vancouver Victory, Calvin P Titus to unload and load containers, Pacific Sun-2 to offload sugar, and Tassos N, to offload fertiliser.

The ships, which departed included Hyundai Highway, Y M Sun, Satha Bhum, Clipper Kristin, Elka Aristotale, and Iran Baabaei, while Cosmic Challenger, Corin Thaikos, Sinar Bontang, Al-Fatah, Feven Star, and Lalazar are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 90,165 tons comprising 17,541 tons of export cargo and 2,624 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Asdrubal to load 10,000 tons of molasses, Hanjin Busan, with containers and Iran Sokan to load 12,500 tons of rice.
