ISLAMABAD May 24: Pakistan Muslim League president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and discussed with him the political situation, party matters and the budget.

Briefing the prime minister about party issues, Mr Hussain expressed confidence that differences in the party would be resolved through consultations.

The prime minister said the 2006-7 budget would be people-friendly, providing maximum incentives to the less privileged.

He said the government would allocate higher amounts for health, education, clean drinking water, roads, electricity and infrastructure, which would improve the quality of life of people.
