KARACHI, May 23: Nine ships carrying containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where half a dozen ships, including Ever Gather, Maersk Alabama, to unload and load containers, Al-Fatah, to load rice, Dusita Naree, to offload sugar, Marina, to unload and offload general cargo and Tor Futura, to unload vehicles were berthed.

Six vessels, Emerald Sea, Thor Captain, Wan Hai-303, Ever Gather, Tom Futura and Shalamar departed, while Dubai Gold, Bi Bi-M, Ocean Seraya, Darya Yog, Marina, Kota Teraju and Kota Mesra are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage 0.133m tons comprising 30,833 tons of export cargo and 0.102m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Al-Maqwa, with high speed diesel, Iran Baabaei, Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Sun, Coring Thaikos, with containers, Vanoouver Victory, with 40,000 tons of coal, Cosmic Challenger, with general cargo and Iron Butterfly, with project cargo.
