MIRPURKHAS: Mysterious disease claims three lives

MIRPURKHAS, May 20: Three people in Murghai Khan village, Hussain Bux Mari taluka have died of an mysterious disease over past one week while several others still remain affected.

The disease killed Ms Bakhti, a teenaged girl Gul Ghani, and 12-year-old Wazeer Ali, and affected 18-year-old Eid Gul, seven-year-old Bakht Mir Gul, and nine-year-old Mohsina. Eid Gul was admitted to Civil Hospital and the others were under treatment in private hospitals.

Doctors at the Civil Hospital said that it might be a viral disease but they would be able to diagnose it only after they saw results of different tests being conducted on the patients affected by the disease.

According to the nazim of union council Turk Ali Mari, Wazeer Ali Mari, the patient afflicted with the unknown disease has high temperature and vomits blood.

Villagers complained that the health department despite having information of the outbreak of the deadly disease had not

yet taken any measures to combat it.
