KARACHI, May 20: Ten ships carrying containers and general cargo and to load rice and naptha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing and sailing activity at the wharves was relatively slow as only two ships were berthed and same numbers departed after unloading and loading containers and general cargo.

Sailing on Sunday would be on the higher side as six ships are due to sail out including Ryoma, Yang Jiang He, Khairpur, Ilse Wuff, Golina and Thamisa Naree.

A total cargo of 68,292 tons comprising 9,518 tons of export cargo, including 2,014 tons of rice and 58,774 tons of imports, was handled.

The following ships are due to arrive on Sunday: Johar and Shalamar, with crude oil, Elka Aristotal, to load 60,000 tons naphtha, Wan Hai-303, Orient Independence, Emerald Sea, Ever Gather, with containers, Al-Fateh, to load rice, Haje Khreh, with general cargo Darya Yog, with steel.
