LAHORE, May 19: Floodlights will be installed at the Faisalabad Hockey Stadium to provide another facility to the players to continue game in hot weather.

Governor Punjab Lt-Gen (retd) Khalid Maqbool stated during a meeting with Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Brig. Mussarat Ullah Khan on Friday.

The Governor agreed that floodlights were necessary at the stadium as it would provide youngsters an opportunity to play under the lights which would also increase the interest of the new players into the game.

He also agreed to add a practice ground to the stadium by using a huge plot available near the stadium.

He added that such a ground could be properly maintained for normal regular activities and to reduce burden on the main Hockey Stadium field. The governor assured that he would take up the matter with the concerned authorities in this connection.
