Gas supply to Gujjo

KARAHCI, May 19: Chairman standing committee on Defence Affairs Senator Nisar Memon inaugurated the SSGC’s gas supply to the town of Gujjo near Thatta.

Nearly 840 domestic customers will benefit from this project designed to provide piped natural gas in the area. The total population that stands to benefit from the supply of gas is over 3,300.

The project has been completed at a cost of Rs23.2 million, of which Rs16.7 million was provided by the SSGC. The remaining amount of Rs6.4 million was contributed by Nisar Memon out of his development fund, says a press release.

SSGC constructed an 11.5 km long transmission main from Makli to Gujjo and a 2.72 km distribution network in Gujjo town as part of the project.
