PM discusses Iran issue with Qaddafi

TRIPOLI, May 18: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said here on Thursday he was opposed to use of force against Iran over its nuclear programme following talks on the matter with Libyan leader Muammer Qaddafi.

He said they discussed “several dossiers including that of Iran’s nuclear programme,” adding that “we do not support the use of force against Iran.”

A Libyan official said Mr Aziz also held talks with his Libyan counterpart Baghdadi Mahmudi “about bilateral commercial relations in the realms of banking, investments and communication.”

Mr Aziz was accompanied by members of his cabinet, senior officials and businessmen.—AFP
