Mari, two sons sentenced to 20-year term

QUETTA, May 18: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday sentenced veteran nationalist leader Nawab Khair Bakhsh Mari and his two sons to 20 years’ imprisonment each for non-appearance in four cases under the Explosive and Arms Act.

The jail term for non-appearance in a case under the act is five years. Judge Najibullah Ghilji jailed Nawab Mari, MPA Nawabzada Balaach Marri and former provincial minister Nawabzada Hairbiyar Mari for five years in each of the cases.
