KARACHI, May 17: A 20-member delegation of the Lahore College for Women University, led by Dr Farkhanda, on Wednesday visited the Science Campus of the Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology.
The Additional Registrar, FUUAST, Dr Muhammad Ishaque, briefed the delegation about the ongoing academic activities in the varsity, as well as, its Vision 2010.
In reply to a question, he said: “The Urdu University has got better results just within three years and is busy in promoting the national language.”
The delegation visited the Biology, Chemistry and Information Technology laboratories and shared thoughts with Dr Moin-ud-din Haider, Prof Asghar Ali, Prof Arshia Salahuddin and Prof Imrana.
Dr Farkhanda said that their visit to the Urdu University was part of the Higher Education Commission’s policy regarding exchange of delegations.
She said that under the policy, the students and teachers of the FUUAST could take advantage of visiting other universities. The visiting students praised the cooperation of the Urdu varsity.—PPI
