KARACHI: 36-hour water suspension


KARACHI, May 16: Water supply to Liaquatabad and its adjoining areas will remain suspended for the next 36 hours due to development work in progress for the construction of Liaquatabad Underpass. A spokesman of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board on Tuesday said that the tap water supply would be suspended for shifting of water pipelines and installation of valves at the under construction Liaquatabad Underpass.

The water supply, which would be suspended from Wednesday at 6am to Thursday 4pm, would affect different areas including Liaquatabad, Sharfabad, F.C. Area, Nazimabad, Baldia, Shershah, Golimar, Old Golimar, Grace Lab, Rexer Village, PAF Masroor, Mauripur and the Kanupp.

The spokesman has advised the people living in above areas to store water and use it with care.—APP
