KARACHI, May 16: The University of Karachi on Tuesday asked LLM (Final) students to observe instructions regarding preparation and submission of their theses for the forthcoming LLM (Final) Annual Exams 2006.
It asked them to get their theses supervised by the approved directors named in the list Annex-A only. Theses supervised by persons other than the approved directors will not be accepted.
The topic of the thesis and the name of supervisors of research (director) must be intimated on the form set out in Annex-B to the Dean Faculty of Law, before beginning to prepare the thesis at least two months before the date of its submission.
The topic of the thesis must be related to any of the 12 subjects taught in the LLM (Previous and Final) course.
If students want to present their theses on any topic offered earlier, care must be taken to highlight the context from a new point of research, and for the purpose, they have to obtain special approval from the Dean, Faculty of Law.The entire thesis must be according to the methodology of research and must contain indication of proper references and be made of a minimum of 100 typed pages. It will not be accepted otherwise.
Students have been asked to submit five copies of their theses (one for evaluation, one for the dean’s office, one for the college record, and two for viva-voce exams) to the controller of examinations, KU by Sept 15, 2006.
Failure/leftover students of viva-voce exams shall be required to provide three copies of their thesis.—PPI
