KARACHI, May 16: Seven ships carrying containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Iran Shahryar, Corin Thaikos, Maersk Alabama, to unload and load containers, Bi Bi-M, to offload coal, and Badulu Valley, to unload sugar, were berthed.

Five ships, Pu He, Ibn Basaam, Orientor-2, Jin Bao and Liberty Glory, departed on Tuesday, while Mearsk Alabama, Oram Glory, MOL Accord, and Iran Sattari are due to sail on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 71,138 tons comprising 18,973 tons of export cargo and 52,165 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Kota Wajar, Hyundai Sprinter, MOL Silver Fern, Y.M. Fortune and Marca Labria, with containers, and Sea Rose, with general cargo.
