CDG building fast losing grandeur

By Our Staff Correspondent

FAISALABAD, May 15: The City District Government building is losing its pristine grandeur owing to poor planning by the authorities concerned. It is learnt that the government has planned to make drastic changes in the building constructed over three acres and four kanals.

The beautifully-designed boundary wall, which gives a pleasant exposure to the green lawns and the building, is going to be replaced with an opaque wall.

The historical fountain which used to be located in the centre of the building casting an angle of 90 degrees with the Clock Tower, has been abolished. Moreover, its domes and three gates also are in bad shape.
