14 gamblers held with valuables

SHEIKHUPURA, May 15: City B-Division police claimed on Monday to have arrested 14 gamblers and recovered two fax machines, as many TV sets, cash vouchers and other articles from different areas. Reports said city B-Division SHO Rana Muhammad Iqbal, In-charge (investigation) Faisal Abbas Chadhar, Aftab Ahmed and others raided Shah Colony, Main Bazaar, area opposite civil hospital, Imambargah Chowk and Rasoolnagar. The police arrested 14 gamblers who have been identified as Azeem, Israr Ahmed, Zafar, Guddu, Asghar, Boota, Bashir, Shafique, Shahzad, Khalid, Ashiq, Yasir, Imran Rasheed and Abdul Hameed.

The raiding party recovered a large number of receipt books, two fax machines, cash vouchers, two TV sets and registered separate cases against gamblers.

District Police Officer Muhammad Aslam Tareen have announced cash prize and commendations certificates for the raiding party.
