ISLAMABAD, May 15: Apropos a news item published in Dawn regarding violation of deputation rules by the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation. The PBC management says that two BPS-17 officers of the information group have been posted on deputation to the PBC in their own pay scale by the ministry of information and broadcasting in accordance with the relevant rules.

The two officials have not been promoted to BPS-18 and they have been posted in the PBC against equivalent posts of BPS-17 after completion of their required training at the academy and qualifying the FPSC final passing-out exam.

“Their posting at the PBC would neither affect seniority of PBC employees nor block their promotions. The two officers’ inter-seniority would continue to be determined in their own cadre and their promotion would also take place accordingly. They would revert back to their group upon completion of the deputation period.”
