KARACHI, May 13: The 63rd death anniversary of former Sindh premier Allah Baksh Soomro will be observed on May 14. Mr Soomro was assassinated in his home town Shikarpur on May 14, 1943.

Mr Soomro was elected to the Bombay Legislative Council and continued to represent Sindh there for nine years till the separation of the province from Bombay.

In the first election to the Sindh Legislative Assembly, he was returned on a United Party ticket. He became the premier of Sindh in 1938.
