PESHAWAR, May 13: A research scholar on Saturday called upon Muslim youth to try to achieve the more difficult objective of peace in the world and not harp on endlessly about the outdated “clash of civilisations” theory.
“The ‘clash of civilisations’ theory is outlandish. Everybody’s looking for a fight and diplomacy does not appeal to all but still youth should try to achieve the more difficult objective of peace,” said Ms Ayesha Ahmed, a Canadian Muslim and research scholar at Peshawar University’s international relations department, at a seminar on the “clash of
civilisations in the Muslim world”.
