PESHAWAR: Nazim seeks funds for Peshawar uplift


PESHAWAR, May 13: District Nazim Haji Ghulam Ali has asked the federal government departments working in the province to contribute generous amounts for developing social sector infrastructure in Peshawar city.

Talking to newsmen here on Saturday, the nazim said the federal government had provided Rs29 billion for development of Karachi.

Mr Ali said Peshawar was the metropolitan city of the NWFP and considered gateway to the Central Asian states.

He said the main problem faced by Peshawar people was non-availability of clean drinking water.—-APP
