RIYADH, May 12: A man was arrested after shooting from his car on guards at the US consulate in Jeddah on Friday, a security source said. No one was hurt in the shooting.
The source said police chased the car and arrested the man after the drive-by shooting in which several shots were fired at the mission’s guards.
In Dec 2004, Al Qaeda militants stormed the US consulate compound in the city.—Reuters
