Warning to cable stations

SRINAGAR, May 12: Militants have threatened to mount suicide attacks on cable television stations who ignore a ban on “obscene” broadcasts.

The warning from hardline groups al Badr Mujahideen, Jaish-i-Mohammed, Harkat-ul-Mujahedin and a small militant outfit, the al Madina Regiment, came a day after some operators pulled entertainment channels off the air, but others did not.—AFP
