Ganguly to try luck with Northants

KOLKATA, May 11: With cricket season in India over, former captain Saurav Ganguly has decided to play in England county championship to stake his claim for a national team berth.

Ganguly is most likely to join Northamptonshire for two months. He will be second overseas signing for the county side after Australia pacer Matthew Nicholson.

Northampton club sources said they intend to sign Ganguly for two-months from June 15 to Aug 13.

Earlier he played for Lancashire and Glamorgan in county championships.—Agencies
