Four of a family kidnapped

SAHIWAL, May 11: Four members of a family were kidnapped from Chak 109/12-L over enmity on Wednesday night. Reports said Zahoorul Haq and Muhammad Siddiq had developed severe differences. Siddiq, along with his accomplices Haroon, Ramzan and three others, took away Zahoor’s daughter Asma, his granddaughter Allah Rakhi, an infant, son Ghulam Bashir and nephew Muhammad Nawaz. They are still to be traced.

The Chichawatni Saddar police have registered a case.

BAIL: An alleged killer of the former PML district vice-president on Thursday got pre-arrest bail from district and sessions judge Dr Riaz Mahmood.

The court has directed the Civil Lines police to produce the record of the case in court on May 15.

Former PML district vice-president Sardar Muhammad Ali Gadhi was shot dead at 5-ways chowk by his opponents. The firing also injured a banker. The police had registered a case against Fakhar Jahan, the son of a retired police DSP, his accomplice Mazhar and uncle Amir Muhammad Khan, an advocate.

Amir Khan managed to get a pre-arrest bail.
