KARACHI, May 11: Founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain on Thursday accused Jamat-i-Islami and its students wing Islami Jamiat Tulba of complicity in destroying peace in Karachi, attacking educational institutions and kidnapping and torturing students and supporters of APMSO.

He called for exposing such elements so that people know their true face and do not fall in their trap.

Mr Hussain said this while talking to Haq Parast ministers Babar Ghori, Adil Siddiqui, Qamar Mansoor, town Nazim Wasay Jaleel, Izhar Ahmad Khan and Naib Nazim Shoaib Akhtar in the party’s international secretariat in Lanodn on Thursday.

Mr Hussain asked his followers to serve the people selflessly because only good work and deed was long-lasting and remembered by the people. Convenor of MQM Coordination Committee Dr Imran Farooq, senior convenor Tariq Javed, Saleem Shahzad, Javed Kazmi, Mohammad Anwar and Mohammad Ashfaq were also present.

Mr Hussain said owing to selfless service to the people, MQM’s message was now understood in other parts of the country, including Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan and the AJK. He alleged that the JI and its student wing were not happy with the situation and were deliberately trying to destroy peace of the province.

He called upon his followers to remain calm and should not get provoked but serve the people to expose those who were acting against the people.
