KARACHI: Paintings by special child


KARACHI, May 11: An exhibition of painting by Mariam Khan will begin at the National Institute of Child Health at 6.30pm on Friday.

This exhibition is about special children. Mariam, 16, is herself a special child. She had been born with the ``Down syndrome’.

She has represented Pakistan through her works at the International Child Foundation exhibition in Munich (Germany). Last year her paintings were also displayed at VSA Arts in Washington. Mariam has also held two exhibitions in Karachi in 2002 and 2004.
