German professors join Kohat varsity


PESHAWAR, May 10: Two German professors have joined the Kohat University of Science and Technology (Kust) for various courses to M.Phil and PhD level students.

According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, the German professors would also develop syllabus for various programmes running in the university.

The German professors were working in Kohat University under the agreement of Kohat University and (Senior Expert System) Germany.

It was a series of sending senior experts in various fields from Germany to Kust to stay for a certain period for teaching and other developmental purposes in education, said the press release.

The visiting lecturers Professor Harmeet Sax and Professor Klaus Plewe had joined the Kohat University of Science and technology.

Professor Plewe had done his specialization in mathematics.

His objectives of joining Kust university was to teach M.Phil students to design the syllabus according to the needs of present scenario and to supervise the projects of students.

Professor Sax had joined the Physics department of Kust.

His objectives were to support the process of evidence of existing research initiatives of the department of physics, establishing a development plan for the research capabilities of the department of physics with particular emphasis on industry oriented research projects and to hold a series of seminars and workshops.

The German professors would also offer seminars on industry, university cooperation, workshop organization, team work, project management and for quality management adapted to the university environment.—APP
