HYDERABAD, May 10: The University of Sindh has de-affiliated the College of Modern Sciences, Nawabshah, and the College of Modern Sciences, Mirpurkhas. The Sindh University syndicate in its 151th meeting approved the de-affiliation of the two institutes.

The syndicate took the decision after giving a hearing to the principal of the colleges and communicated it to the institutes management.

According to a notification of the university registrar, any one dealing with the aforementioned two colleges in any manner whatsoever will be doing so at his own risk and cost.

GOLD MEDAL: A high-level meeting of the Allama I.I.Kazi Memorial Society has decided to award a gold medal every year to meritorious students of the University of Sindh.

The meeting decided that the endowment fund of the society, to be increased with the contribution of the university from Rs1.7 million to Rs2.5 million, would bear the cost of the medal. Vice-chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, who is also the chairman of the society, presided over the meeting.

RECRUITMENT: The army selection and recruitment centre of Hyderabad has announced that registration and selection of candidates in the army for 118 PMA long course and 30V graduate course will began from May 22 to June 4 at its centres in Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana.
