RAJANPUR, May 9: Hardly 35 per cent work has been done in the district under the anti-polio drive against the official claims of 98 per cent, says a World Health Organisation consultant. Dr Debra was here on Tuesday to open the campaign at the District Headquarters Hospital.
When she reached the hospital at 9am, she was dismayed to note that senior health and administration officials were absent. She contacted the DG health, Punjab, by phone and conveyed him her concern.
Later, she opened the drive by administering polio drops to children under five.
