MIANWALI, May 9: An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday rejected the bail of a couple who contracted love marriage while set the parents, brothers and a sister of the groom free. The court granted bail to father Faiz Muhammad, mother Bashiran, sister Sakina and brothers Ataullah and Meharban of accused Ramzan Baloch with the observation that “in our society the complainant party tries to drag the male and female members of the family of the principal accused just to take revenge and to satisfy their ego.”

The bail of the couple was rejected when investigation officer SP Asif Inyat told the court that the nikah nama presented by them was fake. Ramzan contracted marriage with Tasleem Akhtar, 22, an educated girl of Khokhar tribe against the will of the girl’s family. — Correspondent
