SUKKUR, May 9: Sindh Chief Minister Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim said here on Tuesday that impact of water shortage for the Kharif Crop would be less as water level in all three barrages was improving almost everyday. He was talking to newsmen at Sukkur Barrage after a presentation from the irrigation authorities and said that the level of River Kabul was rising which would soon reach Sindh and hoped that the Kharif Crop would not be affected.
He said there was no shortage of irrigation water adding that Sindh was getting its due share in accordance with the ‘91 accord. He said that the irrigation water was released from Taunsa which would take at least eight days to reach Sindh.
