KARACHI, May 9: An eight-member delegation of German educational experts led-by Prof Dr Marthias Winiger on Tuesday called on the Vice Chancellor of the University of Karachi, Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim, and discussed cooperation in the field of higher education between both countries.
The German delegation, which is in Pakistan to explore the possibilities of establishing an engineering university here, discussed the possibilities of faculty exchange and possibilities of cooperation in higher education and research activities with the varsity.
The Pro-VC KU, Prof Dr Akhlaq Ahmed, Registrar Prof Raees Alvi, Dean Science Dr Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser and Dr Abdul Malik of the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry were also present during the meeting.
Meanwhile, the KU’s Controller of Examinations, Dr Anwar Zaidi, announced that marks sheets of BCom (part-II, both parts) were ready for collection by the colleges from May 12, 2006 from the examination department.
He further announced that students willing to get their papers scrutinized could apply for that after issuance of marks sheets within 30 dates.—PPI
