Spanish naval chief holds meetings

ISLAMABAD, May 8: Spanish Chief of Naval Staff Admiral General Sebastian Zaragoza Soto visited the Naval Headquarters here on Monday. On his arrival, the Spanish dignitary was received by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Afzal Tahir. He was presented guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy.

In their meeting, both the naval chiefs discussed various operational aspects and reiterated their commitment to enhance bilateral ties and working relationship between the two navies.

Later, the Spanish admiral along with his Pakistani counterpart called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

Adm Sebastian is accompanied by his spouse who visited Pakistan Navy’s special children school. She appreciated the contribution of Pakistan Navy Women Association towards this noble cause.

The Spanish dignitaries will also visit Naval War College at Lahore and witness the flag lowering ceremony at Wagah border.

Our reporter from Pindi adds: Spanish Chief of Naval Staff Admiral General Sebastian Zaragova Soto called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Ehsanul Haq here on Monday and discussed professional matters.
