SWABI, May 7: Naib nazim of Sardchina union council Shamsul Qamar and his supporters have quit the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal and joined the Awami National Party.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, they said the MMA leadership failed to fulfil their promises made with people during the election and its leaders deceived people with their slogan of Islamisation.

He said the ANP had always worked for the rights of Pukhtun and stood by with the principle of provincial autonomy.

The ANP district president Rehmanullah said that the MMA leadership had dodged the people with hollow slogans but now the masses came to know about their real intentions. He claimed that the district had remained a stronghold of his party.
