Senate body urges proactive African policy

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD May 7: Pakistan required a proactive policy through interaction between its parliament and parliaments of African countries coupled with constituting friendship groups.

This has been stated in a report released by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

The committee, chaired by Senator Mushahid Hussain, has already released seven reports providing in depth analysis of Pakistan’s relations with various countries and continents of the world.

It suggested more high level visits by president, prime minister and ministers to help establish brotherly ties with Africa.

Moreover, Pakistan should pursue an aggressive economic diplomacy to reap the abundant financial benefits as well as investment opportunities that exited in African countries.
