Lashkar sets house afire

By Our Correspondent

KHAR (Bajaur), May 6: A tribal lashkar set the house of a tribesman on fire in Cheharmang area of Bajaur Agency on Saturday for providing shelter to a man who had allegedly attacked a levy checkpoint.

Witnesses said the lashkar burnt the house of Mian Noor Shah and expelled his family from the agency on charges of protecting an Afghan national who had allegedly attacked the checkpoint in Cheharmang area.

Three levy men were killed in the attack.

On the occasion, tribal elders warned that nobody would be allowed to protect terrorists or anti-state elements in the agency.
