PESHAWAR, May 6: Minister for Political Affairs Amir Muqam has said that people of the country are not going to believe those who had deceived them in the past.

He said that former prime ministers, Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto, had in the past accused each others of looting the national exchequers and at present were talking of alliance for the next general elections.

Addressing a gathering in Bazidkhel union council here on Saturday, the minister said that they had befooled people in their respective stints as country’s premiers, but people would not trust them in future.

He said that the National Assembly would complete its term and President Gen Pervez Musharraf deserved to be given credit for his efforts for the sake of the country’s solidarity.
