$500m bond

HYDERABAD, May 6: Sri Lanka will go ahead with its maiden $500m sovereign bond issue despite political problems and violence in the country, a government minister said on Saturday.

“We were planning to start our roadshows and things like that very soon. We are going ahead with the bond issue,” Sarath Amunugama, minister for public administration and home affairs, told reporters on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the ADB.
