MANDI BAHAUDDIN, May 5: The district courts should be shifted to the judicial complex to save massive funds of the Lahore High Court from being wasted.

This demand was made by DBA chairman Haji Abdul Ghaffar Gondal, senior DBA member Ataul Mohsin Luk, executive member Zafar Iqbal Nadeem and Anjuman Shehrian secretary Ghulam Murtaza Nasir advocate in a joint statement here.

They said that judicial complexes in Hafizabad and Mandi Bahauddin districts approved simultaneously were also got completed at the same time. However, they said Hafizabad courts had been shifted to the judicial complex some two years ago, but the Mandi courts were yet to be shifted.

They called upon Supreme Court and LHC chief justices to ensure early shifting of Mandi courts to the judicial complex.

STRIKE: Doctors in Mandi Bahauddin district will observe a token strike on May 9 from 12 noon to 2pm to press the government for the acceptance of Punjab PMA demand.

This was revealed by PMA district president Dr Tariq Mehmood in a press statement here.

He said that young doctors were not being given an opportunity to appear in the Public Service Commission examination. He said that the weekly strike would continue till the acceptance of our genuine demand.
