LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), May 5: A student was kidnapped from Shiekhan locality in Bara tehsil on Wednesday. Sources said that Sanaullah, a ninth class student of Al-Sayed Islamia Public School, was on his way back from school when he was kidnapped by gunmen near Bara bazaar.

In his complaint to the local administration, Sanaullah’s father alleged that his son had been kidnapped for ransom. The Khasadar force has started investigations.

Meanwhile, the local administration has failed to find any clue to the whereabouts of two other school students, Jabreel Khan and Muhammad Ali, who were abducted on April 4 this year and in July 2005 respectively.

The Bara Private Schools association have expressed concern over the abduction of school children in Bara and demanded immediate recovery of the missing students.

KILLED: A truck driver, Anwar Khan, was killed in Bara on Thursday.

The family of Anwar Khan said that they had no enmity with anyone. The assailants escaped after firing on Anwar Khan, killing him on the spot. The local administration has registered a case against the unknown killers.
